Perforated tape is used a collector and enclosure of active material for Ni-Cd pocket type electrodes. This tape is thin steel sheet which is perforated by perforating machine.
Electrodes are used in the manufacture of finished Ni-Cd battery cells.
The active material is enclosed in the pocket out of the perforated tape. The individual pockets are mechanically interconnected with one another.
